Where are the trigger points?
The Gastrocnemius is also known as the "calf" muscle. It attaches at the back of the knee and then down to the back of the heel. It is vital for runnning, walking, posture and balance.
Common Symptoms
- Pain in the calf
- Pain when on "tippy toes"
Common Causes
- Muscle sprain or strain (overstretched abruptly)
- Blunt force
- Sciatica
