This is a pair of muscles in your upper and lower-back.These muscles are used to help us breath as they help to support our ribs.

Common Symptoms

  • Constant deep ache under the upper portion of the scapula
  • Pain can extend down the back of the shoulder and arm to the inside of the forearm, hand and little finger
  • Pain around the elbow
  • Pain on the pinky side of the hand
  • Numbness in the hand

Common Causes

  • Coughing too hard
  • Weightlifting incorrectly
  • Repetitive motion
  • Sleeping on the same side repetively
