Teres Minor

The Teres Minor is one of the four rotator cuff muscles. It stabilizes the ball-and-socket shoulder joint. It acts to rotate the arm outward and also assists with shoulder extension and downward rotation. The Teres Minor is essential for a karate chop.

Common Symptoms

  • Limited range of motion in shoulder
  • Shoulder pain
  • Arm pit pain

  • Improper stretching before excercise
  • Overhead throwing
  • Reaching into back seat of car
  • Blunt force trauma
